# PCbiosensors

> PCbiosensors develops label-free optical biosensors based on one-dimensional photonic crystals (1D PC) and Bloch surface waves (BSW) for kinetic measurements and imaging of molecular interactions.

## When to use this site

- You evaluate or operate EVA 2.0 (1D kinetics and sensing), EVA 3.0 (2D imaging and multiplexing), or the PS-30 spotter.
- You need operation manuals, comparison tables, the free 1D photonic crystal design tool, or safety notes.
- You need scientific background: technology principles, application case studies, selected publications.

- EVA 2.0: label-free 1D kinetics biosensor; laser source; angle interrogation; independent registration of adlayer thickness (s-polarization, PC surface mode) and bulk refractive index (p-polarization, TIR); detection limit around 5e-8 RIU; baseline noise around 0.07 pg/mm2.
- EVA 3.0: label-free 2D imaging biosensor; LED source; wavelength interrogation via color CMOS camera and RGB balancing; multiplexing of hundreds of spots (1000+); spatial resolution around 100 um; baseline noise around 3.5 pg/mm2.
